The MI Retail Conference & Expo will take place on Tuesday, June 29th at The Brewery, Chiswell Street (Barbican) in central London. It will feature a series of seminars and presentations from retail experts, suppliers, trade bodies and the odd star turn from the world of rock n roll. Kam will, of course, be there.

The conference will be supported by a mini-expo at which event partners will be able to host meetings and conduct business (plus there's a party in the evening). Retail attendance will be free and by invitation only. The conference is aimed at the most successful, forward-thinking stores, with content designed specifically to help them improve their sales, their margins, their efficiency and their relationships with key suppliers.

“The aims of the MI Retail Conference & Expo are quite clear: we want to create a conference programme and business environment that will appeal to this industry’s best retailers and get them together with a limited number of partners and exhibitors for a day that will benefit all involved and the industry as a whole," said Intent Media managing director Stuart Dinsey.

“The emphasis here is on ideas, discussion and business. We want to get the right people in the room and provide the right agenda for today’s market.” The conference will see, among others, Billy Bragg giving a talk. With more than 25 years on the frontline of rock n roll to his name, Bragg will be talking about the importance of music and the role MI retailers play at the hub of local communities, as well as giving an update on Jail Guitar Doors, a scheme that uses musical instruments to help rehabilitate prisoners.
